Mullaway is the best kept secret on the Mid North Coast of NSW. It is located only 20 minutes north of Coffs Harbour and is an easy drive on the new highway. The area boasts unpopulated beaches with famous surf breaks, fishing, swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, great scuba diving and fascinating rock pools for your little explorers. Beach breaks at Mullawarra and Mullaway beaches as well as Cabins and Darkum beaches suit the short board enthusiasts and nearby Arrawarra Headland is a venue for the Australian Long Board Surf Festival.
We encourage you to bring your four legged friends as the Shacks with the adjoining reserve and the beach are all pet friendly.
Mullaway Cabins offer 2 private, fully self-contained Shacks. The "Gum Tree Shack" and the "Paper Bark Shack" each have their own ensuite, laundry facilities, BBQ and deck. Both have A/C and heating for your year round comfort. Both Cabins sleep 4 guests. There is a queen sized bed in the main bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge room.
Locals know the Shacks as part of Mullaway Beach Cabins, a popular tourist destination for the past 60 years. These cabins offer a taste of the old, with modern additions for comfort and privacy along with a rare combination of beach AND bush.
Wildlife abounds at your back door. Kangaroos, kookaburras, goannas, black cockatoos and tawny frog mouths have all been viewed from the cabin decks. Migrating whales can be seen in spring and autumn from the headland, just minutes walk from the cabins. If you want a closer view you can take one of many whale watching boat trips from Coffs Harbour. Coffs also has attractions for the whole family including the famous Big Banana, the Porpoise Pool, Camel rides, a skating rink, Carobana Sweets Factory, plenty of markets and much more.

Southerners hoping to escape the winter find Mullaway with it's warm climate a welcome reprieve. Although the cabins are usually rented as short term holiday accommodation, longer term rentals can be negotiated during this season.
